The First Day

Arrived at Haneda Airport – All by myself -
First of all, I had no idea where the hotel was located, so I went to the help desk. (Until then, I was very excited – YEAH ) It was hard to believe that I actually arrived at Tokyo. HAHA – Two Japanese girls were tried to help me at the help desk, and they spoke quite good English. I just showed them the address – After few minutes they suggested me to take a cab rather than ride a subway. They said that it would be a little expensive if I take a taxi, but it would be worth than ride a subway by myself with heavy luggages. So – I decided to grab a cab. I went outside and there were so many cabs outside of the airport. (Of Course – )
I grabbed one taxi and the driver – There were no way to communicate with him – I, Once again, Showed the address, and said “KUDASAI (PLEASE)” – : ) I felt so embarrassed myself at that moment. I should have learned some Japanese before I come. (Damn It – )
Well, with my little Japanese dictionary, The Grandpa- Looking Taxi Driver and I could have really short conversations. I could understand that he FIRST asked me, “Where are you come from?” – So, I answered. “I am from Korea.” (Of course in Japanese – It was easy to speak in Japanese with the book, because it had the samples of Japanese conversation IN KOREAN ) Good to be smart, HUH – HEHE
I finally and saftly arrived to hotel - Hotel Asia Center of Japan – Well, it was quite meaningful that I have been truly explored myself on the first day – HAHA – After I checked in, I had to wait for a while – FOR A WHILE – For the rest of group members. I knew it was just the beginning – I KNEW IT – I COULD FEEL IT.
Anyways, My Japan Story just has began.

I remember the first day I met you at the hotel. I think we were not this close at that time. How much did you pay for taxi from Haneda to hotel? As you know I arrived a day prior to the schedule and I spent about half an hour at the airport (Narita) asking for directions to the hotel. I took a subway for about an hour and I felt exhausted so I grabbed a cab. It cost me a little bit less than $50. Including subways and JRs, Japan’s public transportation is very expensive.
