My First Earthquake Experience –
OMG – I felt the earthquake.
YES. It was the earthquake. Around 1 a.m. when Jessica and I were getting ready to go to sleep, the entire building started to move. My roommate Jessica and I could feel better because when the earthquake happened we were lying on the beds. The bed started move side to side very slowly and quietly. We thought that we all were just losing our minds because of the alcohol. (We were pretty much drunk that night.) Meantime, my other roommate Hannah was sleeping. It did not stop for a while. Suddenly, Hannah woke up and started to jump back and forth, and run inside the tiny space between the beds. I recognized that it was not just what we felt – we really experiencing something.
About 15 minutes later, when the second earthquake happened again, we all knew for sure that the earthquake is happening. It was so cool that I actually experienced the earthquake for the first time. Besides the Hannah’s weirdest action, I was not that scared at all. Somehow Jessica and I got so excited – On the next morning, we tried to talk to everybody about the earthquake, but nobody actually felt it. NOBODY!! People were laughing at us and thought that we were still drunk. (WHAT THE – ) Somebody eventually told me that I should have stop drinking. (THANKX KAY JAY AND JAY – ) However, Whatever, I went to the front desk and asked the ladies about what happened the last night. They said it was the very strong earthquake of almost seven degrees intensity. Everybody missed the earthquake, except for Jessica and Jade!!

I really wanted to feel the earthquake too! I am jealous. But are you sure that was like 7 degrees of earthquake? That should have been a disaster. Anyways, I probably was taking a shower at that time while Kayjay and Brandon were still drunk. Oh, and your picture so reminds me of this bar place Ninja. I miss that place so much.

We were so excited about the earthquake! I still can not believe that we were the only ones to experience it. And although we were a little drunk, we knew it was real. We could not wait to tell everyone about it! I told my friends and family when I got home because it was such a great experience from Japan!

I almost forgot about the earthquake. Thanks for reminding me. This is why we need to talk and share the experience. (I want all of your photos taken in Japan!!) Earthquake can be a disastrous memory depending on how strong it is but we were lucky this time.
Japan is located in the circum-Pacific earthquake belt therefore they get many earthquakes. In addition, we have learned at Yokohama tower that why they do not/can not have skyscrapers in Japan.
